This last week was spring break for Eric but we were asked to watch one of Eric's work friend's kids this weekend Jaida and Sidney. We watched them from Thursday afternoon until Sunday evening. They are respectively 7 and 4 and it gave us a pretty good taste of what being parents might be like, exhausting at times. We had a lot of fun with them though even thought they told us that we were boring and would rather not have us babysit again. Their favorite babysitter does flips with them and stuff which is why they think we are boring. We tried our hardest to keep them entertained, we went to the park 3 times, one of the times we packed a picnic in the nice picnic basket (provided as a wedding gift from Brent and Christy) we made chocolate cupcakes and frosting from scratch, we went to a wedding reception where they were greeted at the door with candy, we went to costa vida, We rented Planet 51 and watched it with them. . . don't bother with it, trust us. We went to the dollar store after several minutes of convincing Jaida that there wouldn't just be dollars everywhere, the dollar store turned out to be the highlight of their weekend because I let them buy junk and play makeup to spend the evening putting on Hannah and each other trying to look like zombies.
After we returned the girls to their proper parents we were able to go up to my sister Emily Bonham's grave to celebrate her 27th birthday which is tomorrow. It was a really nice day today and were glad for the short time to spend out in the sun and grass and look forward to the continually good weather. Happy Birthday Emily!
