Some blessed things have happened to us in the past little while. We got our tax returns! With that money we saved some, paid some things back, and invested in some new things, like a pair of bunny ears for our TV so that we could watch General Conference! The picture quality is niiiiiice. We also invested in a memory foam mattress topper hoping it would help Eric sleep better, but it hasn't. He still wakes up. We love it though!
Speaking of bunnies, I got out of bed last night in the middle of the night (well, 6 am) to get a drink of water and turn off the heat. Well, that's what I told Eric I was doing. And I did, but only after I got out our Easter "baskets"--colorful tins courtesy of Honks Dollar-- and hid jelly beans on our picture frames, in our shoes, and in the mail slot. We also did the 12-eggs Easter story (there's got to be a more sophisticated name for it) with some tacky substitutions, including Tylenol tablets for the earthquakes and "rocks rent" and a cough drop for the stone rolled in front of the tomb. (We don't have rocks in our yard and I didn't have much time to work with.) If you're lost, sorry. Ask my mahm. She told me how to do it. If you can't tell, the jelly beans spell Hapy Easter, not enough beans for two p's. . . 
We watched Conference and loved it. We are so grateful to be able to hear prophets and other spiritual leaders speak the word of God to us, and be taught by the Spirit as we listened. We know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He overcame death and sin to give us a chance to do the same. After conference, we ate a delicious meal prepared by Eric, and surprisingly I contributed quite a bit to it. It was chicken cordon bleu, spinach salad, and orange rolls, all made completely from scratch. Including the spinach.For some other news, Eric officially started his assistant manager position in Spanish Fork! We have yet to confirm that his raise has gone through, but hopefully we will see the evidence of it when he gets his paycheck tomorrow. He looks great in his new manager shirts, and I'm sure he does a very good job (I've never really seen him working down there). He is working close to 40 hours every week and still doing great in school, even though it's been a little bit harder.
We are getting soooo close to being done with school! I find out about the National Ability Center summer internship next week. ACK!! I hope I get it but if I do I am terrified. No one else knows what they're doing when they start an internship, right?
One more thing, I'm taking a songwriting class. I had pretty much given up on the idea of even having my song ready to try out for the showcase of songs from our class. I wrote the words and melody, hated the melody, and couldn't get anywhere trying to make up the guitar part because I am not advanced enough on guitar yet. I tweaked the melody until I liked it, and then asked a kid in my class to help me. He was very helpful, and I was really happy with the end result. Apparently, so was my teacher. He had last minute try-outs in his office a few days before the showcase, and I sang it for him. When he sent out the list, I wasn't on it. In class the day of the showcase, he read out the order of performance and I was so surprised when he read my name! At the end of it, he said, "Oh by the way, Hannah and Stacia-- we added your songs to the list." Wow! I was so nervous I would mess up because the song was still so new, but I did it and I loved doing it, and when the time came, I was hardly nervous at all. Eric finally got to hear the full song inspired by him. He also tried recording it but only got a little bit of it, remind us to show you when we are in person.
